About us

We are a Spin-off from the Automatic Control Laboratory of ETH Zurich and are developing automation robots and software for professional event video productions. We target to reach Level 5 automation by 2023 which is analogous to developing software for self-driving cars in our industry. With our technology, multi-camera robot setups will collaborate to segment and understand unexplored scenes and then execute all operational tasks of traditional camera crews autonomously, leaving only creative storytelling to human operators. We estimate that we can reduce the average cost of a production by 40% through our technology, making professional video accessible to entirely new segments.

Mission

Seervision is a Spin-off from the Automatic Control Laboratory of ETH Zurich with core competencies in model predictive control, computer vision and AI/machine learning. We are developing automation robots and software for professional video productions. Our mission is to enable instant and highest quality production of video footage for staged & live events at a fraction of today’s cost through full automation of all aspects of the video production workflow.

State-of-the-art, model-based path planning controllers take care of camera and lens movements optimizing accuracy, smoothness and sound

Frame sequences are constantly analyzed to determine the optimal 8D framing (yes; 8D) for all camera and lens dimensions

Machine Learning

After every use, units store metadata to train and evolve all control and vision analysis algorithms. Some of it also useful for post-production (wink).

Powered by state-of-the-art GPU and compute modules to take care of frame analysis and trajectory planning in real-time

Adjustable

Compatible with all cameras and lenses. Automation level can be limited according to production requirements

Team

We founded our company in 2016 out of research in the field of camera control at the Automatic Control Laboratory of ETH Zurich. Prof. John Lygeros, Head of the ETH Automatic Control Laboratory, has supported us from the very beginning, for which we are indefinitely grateful. All in all, we have carried out more than 20 R&D projects in the field of camera control, as part of more than 4 years of cooperation on various projects and development work for several industrial partners.
